Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 27, 2026
SmartVerses is designed to minimize what we keep while still operating cloud features, account access, billing, and support.
- We do not store sermon transcript text or live audio recordings as general content on SmartVerses servers.
- Audio may be sent to third-party transcription providers only when you enable live transcription.
- Cloud AI requests may be routed through SmartVerses and processed by third-party AI providers to return results.
- Account, session, billing, support, and service-protection data may be stored to run and secure the service.
- If you use your own provider key, that provider's terms and privacy practices also apply.
This Privacy Policy explains how SmartVerses handles information when you use the SmartVerses website, web dashboard, desktop-connected cloud services, billing features, support channels, and related APIs.
The information we handle depends on which SmartVerses features you use.
- Account and profile information, such as email address, display name, and authentication identifiers.
- Session data needed to keep you signed in to SmartVerses web experiences.
- Billing and subscription records, such as plan, billing status, renewal timing, and related account metadata.
- Service usage records needed to enforce plan limits, quotas, device rules, or cloud feature entitlements.
- Audio streams sent for live transcription when you choose to start transcription.
- Cloud AI request content submitted to SmartVerses Cloud features so requested outputs can be generated.
- Support or feedback submissions, including transcript issue reports and any email address you choose to include.
- Technical request metadata such as IP-derived anti-abuse signals, country code, user agent, and basic request logs.
SmartVerses is designed so sermon content stays primarily under your control.
- We do not store transcript content, sermon text, or live audio recordings as general application content on SmartVerses servers.
- During active transcription or cloud AI use, content may pass through SmartVerses infrastructure and third-party providers in order to deliver the feature.
- We may store operational records about your account, plan, usage, support requests, or transcript-report submissions.
- When you intentionally submit a transcript problem report, the report may include the transcript snippets and reference data needed to review the issue.
During live transcription, audio is transmitted to a speech-processing provider to convert speech to text.
- Audio is sent only while transcription is enabled by you.
- Processing is limited to transcription and related service operation.
- SmartVerses may keep session-level operational records such as timing, usage, or provider session references for billing, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
- SmartVerses does not keep audio recordings from live transcription sessions as stored library content.
If you use SmartVerses Cloud AI features, request data may be routed through SmartVerses Cloud and processed by third-party AI providers.
- We use this processing to return the output you requested.
- We may maintain usage, billing, request-idempotency, quota, and cost-accounting records associated with those requests.
- We do not use your sermon content for advertising.
- Provider-side processing and retention may also be governed by the downstream provider's policy.
If you configure your own API key, your requests are sent under your account with that provider. In those cases, that provider's terms and privacy policy control how the provider processes and retains data sent using that key. SmartVerses may still process limited operational data needed to route the request or enforce your SmartVerses plan.

SmartVerses web experiences may use cookies or similar session mechanisms to keep you signed in and secure authenticated areas of the product.
- These session technologies help authenticate users, maintain login state, and protect account access.
- We do not describe advertising cookies for SmartVerses in this policy.
- You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling required session cookies may prevent login or dashboard features from working.
We do not sell your sermon or transcript data. We may share information only as needed to operate the service.

- Billing and payment processors.
- Transcription and AI model providers.
- Email, hosting, database, storage, caching, and other infrastructure providers.
- Professional advisers or authorities when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
- Sermon transcript text and live audio recordings are not retained by SmartVerses as general stored content.
- Account, subscription, and billing records may be retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes.
- Operational usage, security, and anti-abuse records may be retained for troubleshooting, plan enforcement, and service protection.
- Support and transcript-report submissions may be retained for investigation, response, and product quality review.
- You can stop using cloud transcription or cloud AI features at any time.
- You can manage or remove information you control locally through the SmartVerses product experience.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of account-linked information that SmartVerses stores, subject to legal or operational requirements.
- If you use your own provider key, you may also need to contact that provider directly for requests tied to processing under your provider account.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information we handle.
- These measures may include authentication controls, transport encryption, access restrictions, and service-level abuse protections.
- No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
SmartVerses is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to SmartVerses, contact us so we can review the situation.
SmartVerses and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you are located. By using SmartVerses, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws.
